About the Zebra Longwing

The state butterfly of Florida. They are one of the few butterflies that eat pollen in addition to nectar, which gives them extra nutrients and extends their lifespan to several months. They roost communally in groups of up to 70, returning to the same perch each night. Their caterpillars feed on passionflower vines. They can remember food sources and return to them daily.
