About the Goliath Birdwing
The second largest butterfly in the world after the Queen Alexandra Birdwing. Females are dark brown with white and gray markings and can have wingspans approaching that of a small bird. Males are smaller and colored brilliant green, gold, and black. Caterpillars feed on pipevines. Like all birdwings, it is protected under international trade rules.
