About the Homerus Swallowtail
The largest swallowtail in the Americas, found only in the mountains of Jamaica. Black with broad yellow bands and blue spots on the hindwings. It survives in just two small populations, one in the Blue and John Crow Mountains and one in the Cockpit Country. Habitat loss has made it Endangered. Adults often fly high along forested valleys.
