About the Kaiser-i-Hind
A rare swallowtail whose name means Emperor of India. Its wings are iridescent green with bright yellow patches on the hindwings and a short tail. It lives in mountain forests from Nepal and northeast India to Vietnam and China. Males fly fast and high and often perch in the treetops, making it difficult to see. It is protected in several countries.
